A CME on Pediatric Glaucoma (Virtual Platform) was organized by the Department of Ophthalmology held on 7th March 2022 from 3-4 pm to celebrate World Glaucoma Week (6-12 March 2022) in PGICH, Noida. This CME was targeted towards Pediatricians, Physicians and General Ophthalmologists to spread awareness on Pediatric Glaucoma and increase outreach.

Glaucoma is an irreversible cause of blindness, so timely diagnosis and initiation of treatment can prevent further loss. Primary congenital glaucoma can present as photophobia, enlarged corneal diameter, increasing myopia. These children need to be diagnosed on time and managed by medical or surgical management. Rehabilitation of these children so that they can use remaining functional vision is the need of the hour. Many drugs are implicated in causing drug-induced glaucoma so awareness and discontinuation/substitution of these drugs and IOP control can prevent vision loss.
