The Postgraduate Institute of Child Health was established as a premier paediatric Institute by the Govt. of UP., with the mandate to offer high quality pediatric patient care, postgraduate teaching and Research in various disciplines of pediatric medicine and surgery. The Institute is located in sector-30, Noida at a prime location at the corner of Maharaja Aggarsen Road and Nithari Road. The Hospital is built on a signature building constructed by Noida authority as a prestigious project of Govt. of U.P. The complex includes nine towers housing the Hospital and Residential (about 600 units) buildings. The five floor Hospital buildings are modern, centrally air conditioned, quite specious and with wide corridors.

The administrative Block houses the offices of the Director, Dean, Sub Dean, Executive Registrar, Chief Medical Superintendent, Medical Superintendent and the Deputy Medical Superintendent, Finance Officer, Chief Nursing Superintendent, Administrative Officers, Board Room and the Conference Room.

There are 312 beds, 10 modular operation theatres, with 19 clinical and basic departments, all exclusive for the pediatric care in medicine and surgery. The Institute has an Administrative Block, a central Library, blood bank, Auditorium (300 capacity), two Seminar rooms, a Board room and a conference Hall. The 24 hour functional emergency area, pathology, microbiology and Biochemistry lab services, the Surgical, CTVS, Neonatal and pediatric ICUs, indoor and OPD services, with 20 special clinics in different subjects to offer highly specialized treatment and followup.

The Postgraduate MD courses have been initiated in the departments of Pathology, Microbiology, Pediatrics and the M.Ch course in Pediatric Surgery.

MCI permission has been obtained recently in a record time of 4 months to start the highest 3 year training program (post MS in General surgery), in the department of pediatric surgery at SSPH from 2019-20 with one seat each year. Efforts are on to get the MCI permission to start the MD courses. DNB programs, Several fellowships, short term courses DOTT, IAPS, Infectious disease fellowship have also been initiated.

Academic activities have been initiated with national and International Universities and pediatric Institutes for close interaction and scientific exchange of the faculty, the residents and the nurses. MOU has been established with international centres for academic exchanges between the faculty and the residents. Several faculty and the fellows from India and overseas, are confirmed to visit our Institute for the short and long term training in Pediatrics and pediatric surgery.

Efforts are on to create a healthy working environment conducive for growth and development, improve the health of children and augment public services. Repair and maintenance, horticulture, hospital services are being attended to.

When fully functional, the Institute would produce over 100 super specialists, specialists and research Scientists each year, in various branches as a pool of human Resource to the Nation.
